The heart and soul of our programs are the women who dedicate their time, expertise, and experience to contribute in a diverse team at each facility. Our volunteers model support, trust and cooperation with one other and provide unified service.
Typically each team will consist of women’s health practitioners with up to date experience and knowledge of HIV/STDs, gender issues, mental health and behavior specialists, substance abuse, recovery and self-esteem, mindfulness and spiritual guides, artists, poets and women who are able to speak of their own relevant life experience and a team leader to hold everyone together.
Our volunteers are asked to commit to four of nine sessions in each program. All will attend the first and last; Introduction and Graduation. At least three will plan and participate in each of the other sessions depending on their lived and/or academic expertise and the objectives to be achieved.
